2018-2019 will be my seventeenth year of teaching.
I am originally from Mequon, Wisconsin (a suburb of Milwaukee).
After graduating from UNCC (Go Niners!), I began teaching in 2002 at Cornelius Elementary. I taught 5th grade for 4 years and earned my license to teach Academically Gifted students.
I then transferred to Iredell-Statesville Schools to help build the gifted program there. During my three years as an AIG facilitator in ISS, I also earned my National Board Certification and my Master's Degree in teaching.
In 2009 I joined the CMS Talent Development department.
I live in Concord with my husband and two sons, Jack (8 years old) and Sam (5 years old). In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
